Mr. Smith recently retired from UNUM after a long career that began in long-term care and disability operations. During his time with UNUM, he has continually evolved and progressed from manager/director of the life and health benefits team through to assistant vice president of appeals and litigation support to vice president of regulatory and government affairs. His most recent position was as vice president, chief privacy officer, cybersecurity & artificial intelligence law, where he had a broad range of responsibilities including but not limited to AI governance, privacy, regulatory compliance and data usage and analytics. He can consultant on a broad range of matters from long term care or disability to cybersecurity and AI.
